Membership
Membership costs €50 a year for a senior member and €10 for a junior member of 18 years or under. Anyone interested in supporting and furthering the Slaney River Trust’s objectives is welcome to join us. All membership fees go towards supporting the Trust’s activities and none of the officers or members receives any remuneration in respect of their role in the Trust.
With the river open for salmon angling from April 1st, it is more important than ever that anglers with an interest in the river actively support Slaney River Trust by joining and keeping up their membership.

Membership provides you with
- an opportunity to participate in and influence the Trust’s activities.
- enrolment under the Trust’s club insurance policy which provides each member with public liability and personal accident benefits in respect of their angling activities. A copy of the Trust’s insurance cover for members can be seen here [ link to 2021 policy to be inserted shortly currently shows 2019 cover]
- opportunity to attend events arranged by the Trust. Subject to Covid regulations it is hoped to arrange both casting classes and a visit to the spawning redds in 2021.
- access to the Trust’s webcam below Bunclody which provides anglers with vital information on river height and conditions. The web will be password protected and restricted to members from 1 May 2021 when login details will be provided to paid up members only.
